1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of joinkomune.com and the Komune apps, operated by Komune Technology Limited, a company registered in Nigeria, RC 9552114, with its registered office at 8A Omorinre Johnson Street, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos State, Nigeria. By using Komune you agree to them.
2. What Komune does
Komune is a platform connecting fans with creators for personalised video messages. We provide the platform. Creators produce the videos. We are not the author of the content a creator records.
3. Your account
You must be 18 or over to use Komune. Keep your login details secure and tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to your account. You are responsible for activity under your account.
4. Requesting a video
When you request a video you tell us the occasion, the recipient and anything else the creator needs. The creator may decline any request. If a request is declined or not fulfilled within the stated time, you are refunded in full.
You may not request content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, defamatory, sexually explicit, or that infringes anyone's rights. We may remove requests and suspend accounts for breaches.
5. Payment
Prices are set by creators and shown before you pay. Payments are processed by Paystack. Komune retains a service fee from each completed request; the remainder is paid to the creator.
6. Refunds
You are refunded in full if a creator declines your request or does not deliver within the stated turnaround. Once a video has been delivered as requested, it is not refundable, because it was made specifically for you. If a video does not match what you asked for, contact us and we will look into it.
7. Using your video
Videos are for personal use. You may share and post the video you receive, but you may not use it to advertise or promote a product, service or business, or resell it, without the creator's written permission.
8. Creators
If you record videos on Komune you keep ownership of your content and grant us the licence needed to deliver it to the requester and to promote the platform. You set your own prices and turnaround times, and you decide which requests to accept. You are responsible for your own tax obligations. You are an independent contractor, not an employee of Komune.
9. Our liability
We provide Komune with reasonable care and skill, but we do not promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We are not liable for the content of videos recorded by creators. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
10. Ending your use
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. If we do, we will post the new version here and change the date above. Continuing to use Komune means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Nigerian courts have jurisdiction over any dispute.
