Privacy Policy

Komune Technology Limited ("Komune", "we", "us") is a company registered in Nigeria, RC 9552114, with its registered office at 8A Omorinre Johnson Street, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos State, Nigeria. We are the data controller for personal information collected through joinkomune.com and the Komune apps.

Information you give us. Your name, email address, and the details you include in a video request, such as the recipient's name and the occasion. If you are a creator, we also collect the information needed to pay you.

Information collected automatically. Basic technical data such as your IP address, device type and browser, and how you use the site and apps.

Payment information. Payments are processed by Paystack. We do not store your card details. Paystack handles that information under its own privacy policy.

• To take and fulfil video requests, and to deliver finished videos
• To pay creators
• To respond to your enquiries and provide support
• To keep the service secure and prevent fraud
• To send service messages about your requests
• To send you updates about Komune, where you have asked to receive them

We share personal information only with:

• The creator fulfilling your request, limited to what they need to record it
• Our payment provider, Paystack, to process payments
• Our hosting and infrastructure providers, who store data on our behalf
• Anyone we are legally required to disclose it to

We do not sell your personal information.

Our infrastructure providers may store data outside Nigeria. Where that happens we take steps to ensure your information receives an equivalent level of protection.

We keep your account information for as long as your account is open, and video requests and their content for as long as needed to provide the service and meet our legal obligations. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, to ask us to delete it, to object to how we use it, and to withdraw consent where we rely on it. To exercise any of these, email seyi@joinkomune.com.

Komune is not intended for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us their information, email us and we will delete it.
